On the cover, cytokeratin 19 was screened from comparative proteomic analysis of two hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cell strains with different metastatic potentials and was found to correlate with HCC metastasis in progressively higher metastatic HCC cell strains, HCC tissue biopsies, and a HCC metastasis nude mice model using Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA analysis. CK19 may be a useful marker predicting HCC metastasis. For details, see the article by Ding et al., pages 73–81.
