On the cover, two different chimeric proteins are expressed for the differential cytolocalization assay. The prey construct (A) encodes a protein of interest fused to a green fluorescent protein (GFP) reporter. The bait construct (B) consists of a second protein of interest fused with a membrane tether localization signal (D). When bait and prey are expressed together, an interaction will result in a change in the subcellular localization of the GFP-fused bait (C). Prot, protein. For details, see the article by Blanchard et al., pages 2175-2184.
