About the Cover
On the cover, phagocytosis of antibody- and complement-coated latex beads by human neutrophils. Identification of neutrophil phagosome proteins was accomplished with proteomics, and subcellular distribution of selected proteins was determined by confocal microscopy. Reactive oxygen species (red) and prohibitin (green) were visualized in or around neutrophil phagosomes and mitochondria. For details, see the article by Burlak et al., pages 620–634.
