On the cover, 2D-DIGE is used to identify proteins involved in cytokine-induced β-cell
death in a model for type 1 diabetes. Network analysis, making use of a brand new
bioinformatics program, reveals that many of these proteins act in a proteome-interactome.
These new findings widen our view on the understanding of the pathways involved in
